Christmas

Our hostel was decked out for Christmas thanks to Laura and Marissa! We had sooo many cookies which i had nibbled on before i remembered to take a pic. I got my goge (go-gay) which is a traditional violin. I'm going to try to get lessons and play it properly. I made xmas cards "may christmas find you wherever you are". And for white elephant gift exchange, Alex got pretty princess sheets, tho i think someone 'stole' them from him before the end of the game.

Meet Our Hostel

here are pictures of Team Zinder and the hostel where we come for a few days every month.
~We had a WWE pro wrestling themed party so here we are in our garb.
~Cindy Sarah LH and I are toasting (with pure water, of course...) to something very hip and fun -but i guess not memorable..

~The hostel: Yard, porch, trunk room, one of the bathrooms, library and the drip garden i sort of helped set up and that i plan to put in my new yard.

Zermou pics

Here are some pics of our Zermou project and the promised crazy goat video. We learned later that that is the weird thing that goats do for mating, so our kid must have been going through puberty...
The map making process is all out of order but you can figure it out. The stuff we're drinking from a bowl is Kunu, a millet drink. There was a temporary river (dam was released) we had to cross thru on our way there and back every day (it had started the day before we got there and dried up a few days after we left!). we saw a camel on one of our walks that had an arrow pointing to its leg so we took a pic! (I wonder what was so special about the leg as to be pointed out?) And after a long day and long hot walk sean is so tired he doesn't care that his backpack fell on him.
